Back to the Green.

Sorry for the radio silence — I’ve been in a bit of a rut lately. Nothing dramatic, just one of those stretches where motivation dips and progress slows. That said, I’m back at the desk now and paint is going on models… slowly. Which, honestly, feels very on-brand. This is Slowhammer after all.

Today’s main win was getting my Tartaros Centurion to about 90% done. He still needs a couple of coats of satin varnish and maybe a few final edge highlights here and there, but overall I’m really happy with how he’s turned out. I’m toying with the idea of adding some kind of brazier or flame element to his back—something to add a pop of colour—but I’m not committing to that just yet. We’ll see where the mood takes me.

Alongside him, I managed to get the green base coats down on a full tactical squad and five Tartaros Terminators. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s real progress, and that counts.

I’m hoping tomorrow will be a productive one. There’s still a lot to paint, but I’ve also got some building to do if I need a mental reset. Sometimes swapping the brush for the hobby knife is exactly what’s needed to keep things moving.

Slow progress, steady progress. Onwards.
