It’s been a while again since the last update. If I’m honest, I keep forgetting this blog exists half the time. Not for lack of interest—just life doing what life does and getting in the way.
That said, I have managed to get a decent little chunk done since the last post. Nothing massive, but definitely progress, which is what this whole Slowhammer thing is about anyway.

I’ve been in a bit of a lull lately. You know the kind—where the motivation dips and the desk just sort of sits there looking at you. I’ve still been picking away at things here and there, but it’s not quite been firing on all cylinders. Still, I’d rather slow progress than none at all.
On the hobby front, I’ve managed to get a few more Salamanders models over the line. They’re coming together nicely now, and I’m starting to feel like the army is actually becoming a cohesive force rather than just a collection of half-finished ideas. The scheme is feeling more natural each time I sit down with it too, which always helps.

Alongside that, I’ve dipped into the Spearhead magazines and started working through some of the models from those. It’s been a nice change of pace—less pressure, a bit more variety, and a good way to just enjoy painting without overthinking it. I think that’s been exactly what I needed to get through this little slump.
I’m really hoping April turns into a more productive month. I’ve got plenty lined up, it’s just a case of finding the time and, more importantly, the energy after work and everything else. I always think I’ll get loads done, and then the reality is a couple of hours here and there—but that’s fine. It all adds up.
Slowhammer, after all.
